Project Summary

CP RAIL & MOW WORKSHOPS

Arrow’s Mechanical team contributed to the design of two workshop buildings located on the CP Rail Grounds in Saskatoon, working in collaboration with Ernst Hansch Construction. This design-build project required significant collaboration between all parties, as both buildings were to be constructed on their existing foundations, and the end user required the reuse of a significant amount of existing equipment. The CP Rail Diesel Shop was comprised of approximately 11,200 SF, and the Maintenance of Way (MOW) shop was comprised of approximately 3,960 SF. The end-user required that a significant amount of existing equipment be incorporated into the design of each new workshop.

Arrow’s design team was required to use special consideration and innovation throughout design to ensure a smooth transition and implementation for the required, existing equipment (storage tanks, pumps, in-floor heating, water heater for steam pressure washer, etc.)
