Project Summary

Revera McConachie Gardens Retirement Residence

Revera Assisted Living facility is a high-end Seniors facility located in North Edmonton, designed to meet the needs of Edmonton’s aging populace, with a little sprinkle of aviation in the design theme.

Arrow’s Electrical and Civil teams were contracted to collaborate with Kasian Architecture and eventually Solid Construction to deliver design for Revera’s linked four and two storey buildings, Wing A and Wing B, each designed to meet the needs of a different set of residents.

Wing A contains four storeys of independent living, consisting of full high-end suites. The main floor holds a large dining area along with an open-concept demonstration kitchen where residents can watch cooking demonstrations, and side bar area to sit and enjoy social time and a drink.

Wing B holds space for assisted living, and consists of four storeys of amenities including a dining area, library, lounge space and nurse call stations.

Revera design was required to fall in line with Alberta’s newly adopted (at the time) energy code – NECB 2011. As such, design was required to fall in line with many sustainable guidelines. Currently, this project is still in construction, but is targeted to be LEED Certified, and possibly to meet LEED Silver. Sustainable components include high efficiency lighting and electric car charging stations.

This project was delivered via REVIT software by our skilled REVIT designers. Utilizing BIM software enhanced our ability to coordinate with the rest of the project team.
